To determine the long‐term fetal cardiac effects of the SARS‐CoV‐2 infection in pregnant women recovered from moderate COVID‐19 with fetal echocardiography (ECHO), ECHO is used as a surrogate for EMT in mothers‐to-be.

The fetal heart quantification (fetal HQ) technique is used to assess the cardiac function and morphology of the fetuses of pregnant women diagnosed with COVID‐19 in the early stages of pregnancy.

According to the results of this pilot study, SARS-CoV-2 infection in pregnancy was not found to increase the risk of fetal growth restriction or possible fetal gross anomalies, Nevertheless, larger-scale studies are needed to confirm those findings.
