Damaged music store window

A Musician’s Warehouse storefront on North Lumpkin Street was damaged between 6 p.m. July 15 and 11 a.m. July 16, according to a report from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.

When an employee opened the store around 11 a.m. the next morning, he noticed a brick on the floor in front of one of the store’s windows and several scratches on the window display due to brick hitting the window, according to the report.

An officer also observed brick dust on the window. The store does not have security cameras and the employee said he would call back for any further information.

Break-in attempt at Atlanta Luxury Motors

Two individuals attempted to break into Atlanta Luxury Motors on the Atlanta Freeway on July 17 between 12:04 a.m. and 12:12 a.m., according to an ACCPD report.

A security company flagged the individuals after seeing them approach the building and pull door handles on security camera footage, according to the report.

Footage shows a man and a woman approaching the doors and attempting to shoot at the doors on the west side of the building. The man and woman then step out of sight and approach another door, which was broken in a previous incident. The man and woman are seen leaving the property around 12:12 a.m., according to the report.

No property appears to have been removed from the property. The general manager said he received several notifications from security cameras from inside the building, but these can only be viewed by himself and he would need the help of an IT specialist to access the video .

Passenger in car throws coffee at man

On July 18 at around 9:30 a.m., a passenger from a moving vehicle threw coffee at a man sitting on the sidewalk at the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue and Oglethorpe Avenue, according to an ACCPD report. .

The man said he was sitting on the sidewalk when a passenger in a passing car threw a cup of coffee out the window which hit him in the chest. The man said the coffee was hot but he had no burns. The officer observed the mug sitting next to the man on the sidewalk, according to the report.

The vehicle could not be located or at the address given under the registration number.
